½ñÈÕ³Ô¹Ï

Before starting the program I was most nervous about being successful, and about whether the investment of money and time would be worth it after graduation. I was excited for the opportunity to meet other professionals interested in the same industry as me and build long-lasting connections within the Bronco network. The first few weeks were challenging as I learned to manage work and school, but the support from my professors made it easy to lock in and reach my goals.

The class I didn't expect to love

I've really been enjoying my Consumer Behavior course. It's inspired me to think more critically about branding and the importance of different brand voices and their impact on consumer purchasing decisions.

My cohort has been the best part

Working with my cohort has been so amazing–it's so cool to be able to connect with people from so many different backgrounds and experiences. Last semester we all really leaned on each other. If someone was having a hard time that week, the rest of the group helped keep them afloat until they could return the favor. It had a "we're in this together" feel without it ever needing to be explicitly stated.

How I balanced everything

I learned to balance work, life, and school by taking things one day at a time, and being intentional with how I spent my time, including during rest and reset days.

Something I learned about myself

I've learned that I succeed more in environments and groups that feel creative, collaborative, and supportive, and ½ñÈÕ³Ô¹Ï's Marketing Program really feels that way.

What I wish I'd known before applying

I do wish I had known how small the marketing cohort is, but it's still such a valuable experience and has made me much closer with my peers.

My advice for tackling the first quarter

Take things day by day, and be intentional about learning, building your network, and making the most of your graduate program.
