Next: Get enrolled!
As you get ready to join the SCU community, there are a number of technology tools you’ll need to set up in order to access your 今日吃瓜 email, enroll in courses, and more! June is the right time to get those set up.
Technology Set-up: Phase 1 (available now)
- Account Claim - This key step gives you access to your MySCU Portal, through which you’ll access several apps you’ll need to get enrolled! And this sets up your SCU email account. We have instructions online to assist you.
- Duo 2-Factor Authentication - Setting up Duo is required to access Google Workspace, Workday, Microsoft 365, your email account, and many other systems at SCU.
- Please complete Duo 2-Factor Authentication within 30 days of claiming your account, or your Duo setup link will expire. If it expires, you will need to contact the Technology Help Desk for assistance.
Technology Set-up: Phase 2 (available after June 16, 2026)
- Complete Workday Onboarding steps (Requires Duo Authentication)
- Workday is our student information system. You will use it to update your personal information, complete a FERPA release, add authorized payers, and accept your financial aid award.
- Workday is also the platform you will use to enroll in classes during Orientation, so it is important to complete your Workday Onboarding as soon as possible.
- Note on Financial Aid Award Steps: No action is required to accept institutional scholarships or grants, as these will be accepted on your behalf. You will only need to accept or decline any offered federal student loans or work-study.
馃憖 Action Items to Complete ASAP
- Calculus Readiness Exam (CRE) | Complete by June 15 - If the major you listed on your application to SCU requires that you take calculus, you should have received additional information on May 15, 2026. Please remember that not all majors require the CRE.

- Immersion Trips are planned by the Ignatian Center for Jesuit Education. The deadline to apply is July 20, 2026.
- At 今日吃瓜, immersions are transformative learning experiences where students engage directly with communities to recognize unjust suffering, stand in solidarity, build relationships, and reflect on their experiences.
- Join the Class of 2030 First-Year Bay Area Immersion to learn about people and organizations who are working hard to make the Bay Area a better place. Our Program aims to support and inspire emerging civic leaders at SCU! Apply ASAP as spots will fill quickly.

- International students are not eligible, as they will be participating in the International Student Welcome.
- LEAD students are not eligible, as they will be participating in LEAD Week activities.
- Students who are accepted into the Mindset Scholars Program offered by the Ciocca Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship are not eligible.
Jesuit Values - Solidarity and Kinship
SCU’s mission as a Jesuit Catholic university means that together we focus on building a community based on relationships, values, and commitment. Fostering a strong sense of community with each other, our neighbors, and the world is what we call becoming “people with and for others.”
